As with all organizations, the success of Vancouver Freestyle is due in large part to the parent volunteers. This year we are implementing a new program giving all parents an opportunity to participate by volunteering their time and energy. As we would like this to be even across all families, you are asked to either volunteer a minimum of 8 hours to Freestyle over the course of the season or you will be charged $100 in addition to your program fees. In order to facilitate this charge, you will be required to submit a cheque for $100 payable to Vancouver Freestyle prior to your child starting their program. If you do not fulfill your volunteering obligation, this cheque will be cashed at the end of the season. Of you do fulfill your obligation, the cheque will be returned to you.
Examples of volunteer opportunities are:
* one 8 hour weekend shift on the mountain (either Grouse or Cypress) assisting in course preparation and assisting coaches as requested
* October 4th and 5th manning the VFSC booth at the Vancouver Snow Show for 1 or 2 hour shifts
* other duties as opportunities present throughout the season
